Join the Fun at the GWES Color Run!
Get ready to run, walk, and get covered in color at the General Wayne Elementary Color Run!
This exciting event is open to all students and families—sign up today and be part of the fun while supporting our school.
Time: Check in @12:30pm
📅 Date: Sunday, November 2nd
📍 Location: General Wayne Track
Looking to set your color on your t-shirt after the run- follow these instructions!
To set color powder on a T-shirt, you must first avoid shaking off the excess powder. Then, soak the shirt in white vinegar, allow it to dry completely while flat, and iron it to set the color. Finally, toss the shirt in a dryer to fully set the color into the fabric.
Color Run Timeline
12:30 PM – Check-in opens at the GW track. Pick up your sunglasses, color packet, and get ready to run!
12:50 PM – Special Teacher Student Fun Run! Cheer on Ms. White and our TOP 20 Pledge Earners as they do a short fun run before the main event.
1:00 PM – The Color Run begins!
Runners will complete 2 laps around the GW track (about ½ mile total).
We’ll have one race heat, with staggered starting lines. Fast runners? Go to the front! Going at your own pace? Stay towards the back
After the Run – Celebrate at the finish line with music from our DJ, food trucks, and plenty of colorful fun!

This year we are doing a fundraising campaign along with our Color Run! Hosted by the General Wayne Elementary PTO. All funds raised go toward bringing more educational enrichment programs to our school!
🎯 Fundraising Goal: $10,000
Each grade is working toward a goal of $2,000 raised before our Color Run on November 2nd.
The top earning classroom will win a special trophy.
Top earning pledge runners will win special prizes. Winners will be announced at the event!
